2026 WISAM Regional Conference
September 24-25 │ La Crosse, WI
We invite you to the 2026 WISAM Regional Conference, that will be held at the La Crosse Convention Center. This year's event will feature over 10 hours of CME, an art show reception and poster presentations. This educational conference is designed for professionals across disciplines who work in addiction treatment and prevention, including physicians, PAs, nurse practitioners, nurses, pharmacists, psychologists, social workers, mental health and substance abuse counselors, recovery coaches, law enforcement, public health workers.

Proposals are due April 30. Applicants will be contacted regarding submission status by the end of May. Topics of interest include: ADHD and stimulant use disorder Special populations: Indigenous/ First Nations Special populations: Perinatal populations Special populations: LGTBQ+ Implementing Contingency Management Telemedicine and Addiction Care Community Drug Checking Emerging substances of misuse Kratom Stigma and addiction care Chemsex Sex addiction Inpatient Addiction Medicine Consult Services Integrating Addiction Medicine into Medical Specialties (ie. cardiology, infectious disease, etc) A copy of the Session Submission Rubric is available for review.
WISAM is excited to again offer a poster hall and feature the great work of our members and partners around the region. . . . and new this year! We will host an oral abstract session on Friday, September 25 to highlight posters selected by the planning committee. Selected posters will be chosen taking into consideration relevance to the conference audience, novel programs or interventions, and potential impact to patients. Selected abstracts for the oral presentations will have 7 minutes to present their poster with 5 minutes for Q&A. Presenters must be present in person at the oral session if selected. Please indicate in your application if you would like to be considered for an oral presentation. A copy of the Poster Submission Rubric is available for review. Poster presentations are due May 31. |
